How to find us

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaziezentrum) and it's 4 Divisions:

• Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry
• Division of Pharmcology and Toxicology
• Division of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmaceutics and
• Division of Pharmacognosy

shares the UZA 2 (University Center Althangrund) building with the Geological Center (Geozentrum) and is located in the 9th district (1090 Vienna).

Entrances 

• Main entrance (from Augasse 2-4)
• Side entrance Rotunde (from Josef Holaubek Platz 2)

Arrival by Public Transport:

• U4 or U6 (subway), Spittelau
• City train: S 40, Spittelau
• Buses 35A or 37 A, Spittelau
• Tramways D (Liechtenwerderplatz or Augasse) or 37 or 38 (Nussdorfer Strasse)

Arrival by Car:

You can park your car in the Unizentrum Althanstrasse parking garage (EUR 4,20/hour). Access is via Althanstraße or Josef-Holaubek-Platz, "Pharmacy Garage". The delivery entrance also provides barrier-free access directly to the elevators.

Inside UZA 2:

Inside the building there is a main corridor with several bridgeworks, the wings A - G stretching to either side. The room numbers are composed as in this example: 

2E 408: 2 … UZA 2 | E … Wing | 4 … Floor | 08 … room number

Entering from the main entrance, you'll start with wing A, entering from the side entrance Rotunde you'll start with wing G. 

The porter's lodge is at the main entrance. The lecture halls are also located there. The lecture halls 8, 7 and 5 are located in “Pharmaziezentrum”,  Lecture Halls 6 and 4 are in “Geozentrum”.
